Keep it Simple! Discussing the first steps of coaching

Updated: Sep 18

A discussion with a new Level 1 graduate where we figure out the difference between coaching and advising, identify our audience, and workshop our pitch.

Today Lisa Finck (C.P.C., A.C.C.), Brooke Adair Walters (M.C.L.C., C.P.C), and Jerome LeDuff Jr (M.C.L.C.) discuss with recent graduate and alumni, Amy Keefner (C.L.C.), how we differentiate between giving advice, consulting, and coaching; how to develop a company name and elevator pitch; and how to start a coaching session. For our new coaches or prospective students, this is what a coaching session looks like! Lisa, Brooke, and Jerome ask what brings Amy with us today and help guide her by asking the right questions. By the end, Amy feels energized as her purpose becomes clearer and she is confident in transitioning into her role as a certified life coach. It may be difficult and sometimes confusing knowing what steps you need to take to start your new life coach business, but in the words of Lisa:

"Part of this is to not overthink this"
